It took us over six years after the release
of our first CD "Dances and Romances" to finally find some
material that motivated us enough to give in to the constant
requests for another CD. In 2002 we stumbled upon the
music of a contemporary composer, Rolph Lovland, which
spoke to both of us in a very deep way. Thus the idea to
record our CD "Illumination" was born. We are immensely
proud of our finished recording and would like to thank the
following friends for their participation: RICK FRANCIS for a
great job of capturing our instruments and sound just the way
we felt it. AVON MENNONITE CHURCH and GREENWOOD
COURT for the use of their fabulous room and our favourite
piano in Stratford! FAE KNOTT for creating our beautiful CD

BARB FULTON for her lovely haunting voice in Sigma.

The Secret Garden Connection – The music on this CD was
composed by Rolf Lovland, a Norwegian composer who also
founded the group called Secret Garden. Here, Dominik
Franken and David Murray present their unique version of
Lovland's compositions for Secret Garden with violin, viola
and piano, with percussion and bass by Paul Shilton and
vocals by Barb Fulton. Lovland, musical from an early age,
is an extremely popular songwriter in Norway and all of
Europe, having won many music awards there. He is the
composer of "You Raise Me Up," recorded by Josh Grogan.
His work has also been recorded by Barbara Streisand.

Award-winning designer Fae Knott
occasionally gets the treasured opportunity to paint again,
after seriously pursuing watercolour painting in the 1980's.
Her nature-inspired drawings and paintings are part of private
collections in Canada, Britain and the United States. Current
design activities include ìhorsenutî brand equestrian gift items
and theatre-theme items for her company Northroots Marketing.
Fae lives with her husband and life-partner Paul, their children
Amberly, Graham, and Andrew, and their puppy Teak, on a
beautiful wooded acre on the Avon River near Stratford,Ontario.
